Steven Thorne Design: Window Dressing

We pride ourselves on the fact that we can offer our discerning clients the very best fabric options from companies such as Sacho, Jab, Jason D’Souza, De’Gauney, Carlucci, Fornassetti, Larsan to name but a few. The choice is enormous. We pay special attention to quality and detail and our drapes and soft furnishings are beautifully made, whatever the requirement of the finished article. These are combined with leading curtain pole manuafcturers such as Bradley, Tillys, Resina Designs, Fabricant and Houles, catering for all styles. Our design service includes drape design which are drawn to scale to show their exact measurement in relationship to the window opening.

Our Coral, which in itself is an item if natural beauty is exported from the Australian Barrier Reef.

We are the only company within the UK to be given a strict license from the Australian Government to export and sell Coral legally to the UK Design Market, which means our Coral is harvested under precise, government approved, world class management arrangements, which ensures no detriment to the Great Barrier Reef.

General Information: The Great Barrier Reef accumulates an extra five million tonnes of new coral growth every year. Of this growth, a small quota of abundant fast growing Coral of premium quality and limited size is hand harvested in these specific zones. The reef quickly replenishes after harvesting by either regenerating from the base or larval settlement, which means growth of a new colony occurs. Coral harvesting is based on the highest marine science standards.

EcoSmart

The EcoSmart Fire is an Australian innovation - an environmentally friendly open fireplace. The EcoSmart Fire is flue less and does not require any installation or utility connection for fuel supply, which makes it ideal for just about any architectual environment. Fuelled by a renewable modern energy (Denatured Ethanol), it burns clean and is virtually maintenance free. Featuring remarkable design flexibility, the simplicity of the EcoSmart burner and the modular nature of its design grants consumers with significant versatility and choice.

The EcoSmart fire is fuelled by a renewable energy source called Denatured Ethanol. Ethanol is an absolute alcohol, produced by the fermentation of sugars originating from agricultural and forestry products; mainly sugarcane, potatoes, bananas, beetroot and recently from cereals such as wheat. In accordance with various global regulations Ethanol (100% alcohol) cannot be sold in its purest form to avoid human consumption. Ethanol producers de-nature ethanol with various substances for re-sale purposes and it is then called Denatured Ethanol.

Denatured Ethanol is completely composed of biological products resulting in a neutral ecological balance (greenhouse compliant). The combustion of Ethanol (also called Ethyl Alcohol C2HLOH) results in a clean emission: Heat, Stem and Carbon Dioxide. Denatured Ethanol burns just as clean.

The initiative of using denatured ethanol as an energy source for heating is a unique offering in the market. The EcoSmart burners technique of safely housing and burning a flammable liquid offering an open flame in a controlled environment makes then ideal for just about all comtemporary environments, including apartments, houses, restaurants, bars and offices.
